With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in finance, strategic management, and corporate governance, our Chair of Growth is a veritable powerhouse in the Norwegian business landscape.
Holding an MSC in Business Administration and Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and further studies in Strategic Management and Innovation at INSEAD in Paris, her academic credentials are as robust as her practical experience.
Her journey began with a seven-year tenure at Deloitte, where she honed her skills in management consulting, audit, and finance, including international exposure in the UK.
This early experience set the foundation for her to ascend through various finance and leadership roles at Hakon Gruppen AS, now known as ICA, and Kavli Holding AS, where she managed financial operations, IT integration, and strategic acquisitions, demonstrating a keen eye for growth and innovation.
Her 18-year career at Grieg Group marks a significant chapter, where she served in multiple executive capacities, including Group Chief Operating Officer (COO), Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
During her time as CEO, she was instrumental in steering the company's growth strategy, overseeing corporate governance, operations, and investments across diverse sectors like seafood, shipping, logistics, and private equity.
Her leadership at Grieg Maturitas AS, the holding company responsible for the group's portfolio management, saw her spearhead IT, technology, and cybersecurity initiatives, as well as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies, reflecting her commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.
Her multifaceted role also encompassed board directorships within the Grieg portfolio, where she chaired several companies, showcasing her ability to balance executive and non-executive responsibilities effectively.
A passionate advocate for family businesses, she has been actively involved with Family Business Norway, contributing to the development of the next generation of family business leaders. This commitment, combined with her extensive board experience, has made her a sought-after director across diverse industries.
Her recent roles include being a Non-Executive Director at Avarn Security Group, a leading security solutions provider in the Nordics, and Chair at Alginor ASA, a marine biotech company specializing in sustainable seaweed-based ingredients. Her strategic oversight has also extended to companies like DeepOcean, a subsea services provider, and Thomsen Gruppen AS, a historic family-owned business.
These positions reflect her versatility and deep understanding of corporate strategy, risk management, and innovation, bringing a wealth of insight to our board.
Her contributions to the boardroom are characterized by a blend of strategic foresight, financial acumen, and a dedication to open dialogue and constructive discussions.
She has chaired audit and risk committees, demonstrating her prowess in financial oversight and governance. Her leadership roles have not only focused on financial performance but also on fostering a culture of sustainability, as evidenced by her work towards achieving "Net Zero" emissions.
With a proven track record of guiding companies through IPOs, M&A, and divestments, she is well-equipped to enhance the strategic direction and value creation for FENRIR.
